Portland is often called The City of Roses, Rip City, Stumptown, Bridgetown, Beervana, PDX, Little Switzerland or New San Francisco. You may have seen "Keep Portland Weird" and I believe that the city is culturally very accepting of diversity and made of intelligent communities. It does rain during the winter and the spring, but summer is heaven. Bikers in SE, NE and N Portland, hikers in the NW, and tree lovers in SW. There are so many things to do here for a variety of lifestyles.
Portland Homes For Sale
The Portland Metro Area offers many different styles of living. You can live in The Pearl District for modern living, shopping, fashion and dining. Maybe you just want a quiet and secluded home with a view in SW Portland. Or you can enjoy river views, hiking along the Willamette River and water sports in the South Waterfront.

Even though the number of distressed properties dropped significantly in the last three years (from about 25% to under 10% in 2014), there are still good deals which are going fast.
